Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process?

We want to make this process as easy as possible. Call us at (330)415-4123 to set up a shoot date and we will ask for some basic info on the property. You will be emailed paperwork, including a checklist for the homeowner and an imaging recommendation list. These two items will help get you the best results from our service. On the day of the shoot we will spend 30-90 minutes at the property, taking images. Our team will edit and provide the photos within 36 hours.

What can my buyer do to have the home ready to shoot?

All agents will be provided with a checklist to go over with the property owners on this. Simply put, a clean and clutter-free home always photographs better. Lighting is also essential for a great outcome, please make sure that any light fixtures, including lamps, be in working order for the shooting date. A burnt out bulb attracts more attention than most would realize!

Does a Realtor or owner need to be present for the shoot?

No. Real View Property Imaging can arrange to have access to all listed homes through the lockbox (including Supra iBox) without anyone present. If you choose not to attend, please be sure to fill out the imaging recommendation list if you have any specific features you would like to see highlighted.

What is the turnaround time?

Our deadline is 36 hours from shoot to delivery but is typically less. For more info, refer to our answer about the process.

Do you shoot commercial properties?

We do. We have experience in everything from apartment complexes to shopping centers and would be happy to discuss what we would have to offer for your space. Commercial pricing is determined on an individual property basis.

How much notice do you need for a shoot?

We prefer 24 hours minimum but this can be adjusted depending on the flexibility of everyone involved. We don't need much notice, but it is helpful to your sellers to be provided enough time to prep the home.

What about pets?

Please make sure all pets are either out of the home or kept in an area that will not be photographed.

Do you photograph the basement or attic?

Basements will only be photographed if they are finished or if it is requested, same with an attic. Please be sure to mention if there is a bathroom in an unfinished basement you would like to be shot so that nothing is missed.

Is it worth it to have you photograph a vacant house?

Absolutely. Our services actually tend to be even more important in vacant homes because it breaks up the monotony of a prospective buyer just looking at a bunch of empty rooms. Plus, our editing can bring out lighting and flooring features.

What if the weather is bad?

While we can not guarantee great weather for all of our shoots we will do everything we can to get the best images for our clients. We will review the forecast and inform a client if there is a storm that may hinder the shoot. Aerial photography does have stricter requirements that can be reviewed at the time of booking.

What about seasonal change photos for the winter?

We will work with our clients on an arrangement for a secondary set of exterior images at a per-photo price point depending on the package and type of photo needed.

Will you "Photoshop" things I don't want in the photo?

This depends. Will we take out the neighbors house because it's too close? No. The same rule applies with things such as power lines, trees, or roads because that would be seen as a misrepresentation of the property. Typical exceptions are any sort of signage that would violate MLS rules, equipment caught in reflection, or even the occasional owner/realtor standing in another room. While all of these are extremely uncommon, they do happen from time to time and we will do everything needed to provide our client the best photos possible.

Can you just edit the photos I take?

Unfortunately, no. The process we use is extremely specific in order to give our photos a consistently premium feel.

What is aerial photography?

Just as the name implies, it is a photograph taken from an aerial view. Probably one of the fastest growing trends in the business and we feel that we offer the best in the area. Weather it's showcasing a large lot, giving a glimpse of the neighborhood or even just wanting to get that different perspective these images are always sure to impress.

Do you do aerial photography?

Yes! We love an opportunity to get the drone out. Please see our Packages & Rates page for more details.

Do you do video?

We do. Video is currently a very specific need for a very specific type of property, contact us at info@realviewpropertyimaging.com to discuss options.
